Job Description: The Service Manager for Residential Services will lead a team overseeing four children's homes, ensuring high-quality care and facilitating interactions between children in care and their birth families. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, along with the ability to develop relationships with Ofsted and commissioning teams. The position offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development and a relocation package. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Residential service area, overseeing four children's homes.
- Facilitate interactions between children in care and their birth families.
- Ensure high-quality care and service delivery.
- Develop senior-level contacts with Ofsted and positive relationships with commissioning teams.
- Provide professional responsibility for up to 5 FTE direct reports.
- Meet Nottinghamshire County Council’s statutory duty to promote contact between looked after children and their families.
- Translate strategic priorities into operational plans.
- Shape and influence an environment that enables excellent practice.
- Identify and implement opportunities for service areas.
Skills Required:
- Strong leadership and effective management skills.
- Experience in managing a team in children's services.
- Ability to develop relationships with Ofsted and commissioning teams.
