Wintel Engineer – Nottingham Based – Initial 3 Month Contract – Inside IR35 - Active SC Clearance Required - £400 p/d

We are on the look out for an Wintel Engineer to support our client’s on-site infrastructure and have the ability to work in fast paced and adaptive specialist IT environment. The individual will need to be a motivated self-starter who will join a small specialist team to work on all aspects of technical delivery. They will also have a wide breadth of technical skills in IT delivery and support is essential for this role alongside excellent troubleshooting abilities.

The Cyber & Digital Forensics infrastructure team is a small but crucial element in the delivery of UK-leading forensic support services to government organisation investigations. As part of the team, you will be expected to work on all aspects of technical delivery and support to our forensic customers. We operate a ‘cradle to grave’ support structure for the C&DF team offering complete lifecycle management of all equipment and software assets. As the role will involve exposure to live investigation data the candidate must be a UK national who currently holds SC-level security clearance.

Base criteria:

·       Current SC Clearance

·       Keen interest in IT delivery, support, and management

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced and adaptive specialist IT environment

·       Must be able to manage and prioritise assigned workloads, seek additional workloads when necessary, and adapt to fast-changing business priorities including adoption/involvement in it projects as required.

Technical Criteria:

·       Full working understanding of windows host and server environments in both support and development environments.

·       Full working understanding of Microsoft Active Directory including supporting services (DNS, DHCP)

·       Full working understanding of computer and office hardware in a support role.

·       Good understanding of network fundamentals in a desktop support role
