Overview:
This role is a for a senior automation engineer to work in a small team in the development of automations and integrations relating to the provisioning and life cycle management of virtual Servers and databases.

Our team's deliverables are;
The team currently provide automation solutions used in the provisioning and life cycle management of virtual Servers and databases via VMWARE. This solutions are delivered within the SDLC framework as laid down by the bank. The automation technology is VMWARE based but a wide experience of infrastructure is expected.

Your Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role will be to act as senior engineer working within a small team of software engineers to develop the solutions as and when required by VHS product management. This will require interaction with the various teams who implement the sub-systems you will be automating to determine processes and API capabilities etc. These will then be documented so that all stakeholders can sign-off. Once designs are completed and documented, the software will be developed in accordance with the banks SDLC processes and tools. Regular releases will be maintained to cope with the dynamic nature of infrastructure automation.

Your Skills and Experience:
A candidate for this role should have a minimum of 5 years' experience with VMWARE and automation and have an in-depth understanding of Cloud Automation, virtualization, infrastructure, security, ITIL, CMDB, networks, storage and SDLC.
Familiarity with Scripting, GIT, testing, SQL, AD/LDAP and Java is also desired.
