Trafford Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner/Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) to join our dynamic Adults Community Team. Key Responsibilities

• Social Work Leadership: Provide invaluable social work leadership within the team and foster close collaboration with colleagues in Adult Social Care.
• Clinical Supervision: Offer clinical supervision to social workers, guiding them in identifying development opportunities and directing them towards relevant learning resources.
• Case Management: Manage a limited caseload of complex cases, ensuring high-quality care and support for individuals in need.
• AMHP Role: Act as an Approved Mental Health Practitioner on our Borough-wide rota, applying expertise in the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Service Development: Contribute to service development initiatives, ensuring the representation of social work values and, when appropriate, chair meetings, especially in safeguarding enquiries.
