Test & Launch Principal Engineer Seating

Are you an Automotive Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading automotive manufacturer based in Bedfordshire as they grow their Test & Quality Department to meet project needs with an Automotive Test & Launch Principal Engineer within seating.

Due to proven success within other departments, this is a newly created position with no fixed end as an on-going need. Responsible to the clients main engineering facility in Bedfordshire, this role will be situated at the manufacturing site in the North East with occasional travel to Bedfordshire.

Main Purpose of Test & Launch Principal Engineer Seating

• Global Seat Design and development at part / module level


• Responsible for the life cycle management of current European seats including cost reduction, quality market improvement and new product development projects.


• Lead the industrialisation activities of new Seating systems into manufacturing plant.

Experience / Knowledge for the Test & Launch Principal Engineer Seating

• Ideally degree qualified in relevant subject, although experience will be considered.


• 3 years or more relevant experience in automotive industry, specifically within project launch and seating knowledge.


• Project and supplier management experience.


• Ability to Liaise with external suppliers and liaison with internal manufacturing line staff.


• Ability to work cross-functionally with excellent communication and project management skills.
