We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master with solid experience of operating within the Banking or Financial Services domain, to join our banking client for an initial 3-month contract based in the City of London.

Rate of Pay: £630-£960 per day (inside IR35 via an umbrella company)

Tenure: 3 months, extendable

Hybrid: 3 days onsite in Liverpool Street; 2 days remote

The role requires an experienced individual who is comfortable to work in close partnership with a variety of Front Office stakeholders, globally. As a scrum master, the person is expected to be very well versed in, and keep up to date with, a multitude of new technologies.

The role requires a thorough understanding of development and architecture best practices coupled with a good working knowledge of IT General Controls.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Core Agile methodology, Scrums, Sprints, Burndown tracking and frequent high-quality software deployments using Atlassian suite of products (ie JIRA, Confluence, etc)
  • Experience and understanding of a Front Office Banking Environment, Product range and associated opportunities and risks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing, end to end, design, definition and delivery of technical solutions in-line with strategic goals
  • Exposure to Front Office trading systems is required
  • Strong numerical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial information and able to design and use of financial models
  • Understanding of effective Source Control and Release Management tools (such as Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitHub etc)
