Role Title: Team LeaderLocation: Derby (Onsite 5 days per week)Duration: 6 MonthsRole Description:Lead a team of multi-skilled operatives carrying out post inspection rectification work on the West midlands fleet of the Aventra platformResponsibilities1. Plan and distribute workload to the team to ensure deadlines are met.2. Ensure compliance to HSE regulations and local site procedures.3. Ensure all instructions are understood by team.4. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and lead improvement activities.5. Lead start of shift meetings.6. Carry out inspections and spot checks to ensure standards are maintained7. Ensure issues and potential delays are reported, escalating those that can't be dealt with by the core team8. Work closely with Production and Depot Managers to ensure maximum operational effectiveness and minimum downtime for area of responsibility9. Act as customer interface when required.Qualifications/Experience Minimum 5 year's experience of the rail industry and train sub-systems. To have previously acted as a Team Leader or in a supervisory role Experience of Aventra platform desirable but not essential NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline required as a minimumPersonal Attributes/Skills Proactive. IT literate and proficient in MS Office package. Self-motivated. Good communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good time management. Customer focused. Excellent organisation skills Sound product knowledge Conflict Management
