Smart Education is proud to partner with a dynamic SEMH school in Shifnal, and we are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our passionate team. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator with a background in Humanities who is adept at working with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): The successful candidate must hold QTS and have a strong academic background in Humanities.
  • SEMH Experience: Demonstrated experience in working with students exhibiting challenging behaviour, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Subject Expertise: Deliver engaging and tailored Humanities lessons, ensuring alignment with the SEMH school's curriculum standards.
  • Student Support: Provide additional support to students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the school's multidisciplinary team to contribute to the overall well-being and development of students.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with challenging behaviour in a teaching capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
