Your new role
JoiningHays as a Supply Teacher means you will be working on both a short and longterm basis, which can be anything from one day through to full terms and even afull academic year. On a short term basis, there will be no planning andpreparation required, you will simply be responsible for managing a classroomand ensuring all pupils are on task, as well as ensuring all behaviour isappropriate. When working in a longer term assignment, you will be required tocomplete planning and preparation, as well as the marking and assessment ofpupils work. Working as a supply teacher can offer you an attractive work lifebalance and you can also have the flexibility to work when you want, even on apart-time basis.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Inorder to be successful in securing a role with Hays as a supply teacher, youmust possess Qualified Teacher Status and have recent teaching experience. Youmust also be adaptable as you will be working in various schools and you willhave strong behaviour management skills. You will also ideally be available tostart as soon as possible.
