Public Sector Hybrid Temporary 6 months Immediate Requirement

Reed is engaged with a public body in east Belfast, in the appointment of a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Staff Officer Accountant (Consolidation/Technical) for a period of 6 months.

Working closely with the Deputy Principal, the Staff Officer will hold a varied remit to include the following responsibilities:

  • Assistance in preparation of Interim and Annual Consolidated Resource accounts for Department
  • Development of process for collation of ALB financial data for inclusion in Consolidated accounts eg fixed assets, provisions etc
  • Assistance in preparation of Consolidated Annual report
  • Address technical issues and material aspects of the Consolidated Resource accounts eg IFRS
  • Provisions & Audit queries

Applicants must be a Qualified accountant with two years post qualification experience gained within the last 5 years in a finance/accounts preparation environment. You will need excellent Excel skills, technical accounting knowledge, Oracle knowledge & financial systems experience.
