We have a fantastic opportunity for a SQL Engineer to join our digital and data team based within London with flexible working. The salary on offer is up to 62,000 with eligibility for our annual 10% bonus based on a 12 month fixed term contract.
About the role:
The Data Engineer role is responsible for developing and maintaining BI applications and solutions which deliver a single and trusted source for data to the business. It will support the Lead BI SQL Developer in developing the Enterprise Data Hub (EDH), including the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
The role will include developing new Data Transfer Interfaces between systems into the EDH, updating and curating the Operational Data Store and Dimensional layers, building on the Reporting Layer used to access data in the EDH, documenting changes made to the Data Landscape in relevant Governance toolsets.
What you will bring to the role:
- Significant hands on SQL and T-SQL, data warehouse, Azure dev-ops experience
- Significant ETL experience
- Proven experience in hands-on database development
- Applied knowledge of Agile software/Product delivery methodology
- Must be knowledgeable in software development lifecycles/methodologies i.e. agile and waterfall
- Good communication and experience of working with end users and stakeholders
- Eager to learn and develop and has a good team ethic.
