My client is a well known name in the area of embedded systems used for Audio Visual applications worldwide. Due to an increase in projects, they are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team either on site in Kortrijk, Belgium or on a remote working basis.

Product and Responsibilities
The project relates to a new product that is aimed at easing the daily work of a control room operator by integrating a display wall and the operator workplace into one product. It is a distributed system based on Linux which provides freely configurable workplaces and display walls integrating all kind of appli

Your responsibility is to develop and maintain backend services using latest technologies. Since the result of your work is part of a bigger ecosystem, you need to collaborate with other teams and integrate work results.

As our Software Development Engineer you will

* Develop, Monitor and improve the software
* Analyse requirements and translate them into specifications
* Support the software development life cycle and Agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum with Continuous Integration;
* Develop back-end logic and modern user interfaces;
* Keep track of bugs and fix open issues;
* Provide proficient documentation for the developed software

Therefore, I am ideally seeking candidates with the following skills and expertise:

* You ideally have a few years of experience in at least two of the following domains/tools:
* OpenGL/GStreamer
* C
* Python
* Bash scripting
* Linux (Debian)
* Additional experience in network communication (TCP/UDP/ ) and related security (SSL) is a plus;
* You are fully conversational in English. Dutch or any other language is considered a plus.
