Role: Software Developer
Duration: 6 months - with a view to extend
Location: Hybrid - 60% - Plymouth/London
Pay Rate: 650 - 750 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

One of my public sector clients are currently looking for a Software Developer. They are looking for a Software Developer to join them on a hybrid basis with travel to their offices in Plymouth or London 60% of the time. This engagement will run on for an initial 6-month engagement - this does have a view to extend beyond this date.

They are interested in Software Developers with experience of working in an Agile environment amongst multi-disciplinary teams. Past experience of working within the public sector would be ideal.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the service components to ensure they meet business needs.
• Support specific activities to improve development processes.
• Design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threat.
• Review specifications and use these agreed specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium to high complexity.
• Know a variety of methods of prototyping and can choose the most appropriate ones.
• Design systems characterised by managed levels of risk, manageable business and technical complexity.
• Build and test simple interfaces between systems.
• Prioritise and define approaches to understand the user story.

Essential Skills:

• Python software development
• Strong background in working with Data.
• Web application development with Flask
