Their team works collaboratively with various agencies to create a safe and nurturing environment for children who require alternative care arrangements.
They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join their dynamic Children Looked After Team. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing support for children who are in the care of the local authority. This role involves working closely with children, their families, and other professionals to create tailored care plans that address the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting thorough assessments to understand the individual needs and circumstances of children looked after
Developing and implementing care plans that promote the well-being, safety, and development of children
Building positive and supportive relationships with children, families, and foster carers
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community resources
Advocating for the best interests of children and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes
Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children, adjusting care plans as needed
Keeping accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with statutory requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised social work qualification
Registration with SWE
Experience working in a similar role within a children social care setting
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children looked after
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
