Peace Recruitment is currently hiring a freelance Setting-Out Engineer for a well respected civil engineering contractor in Edinburgh to work on a large residential project. 

Responsibilities:

• Setting out of site works using a variety of surveying instruments and equipment.


• Checking drawings, plans and specifications to ensure they are accurate and up to date.


• Liaising with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project runs smoothly.


• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.


• Keeping accurate records of all site activities and producing reports as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role.


• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.


• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS and levelling equipment.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders.


• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.


• A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
