Site Engineer - Water Sector - Melton Mowbray (Freelance - Minimum 8 Month term)

Our client is one of the largest privately-owned civil engineering and infrastructure specialists with 40 years of experience working UK-wide and providing design, construction and maintenance services across the water, transport, built environment and energy sectors.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide site engineering duties to a Project on a waste water site in the Melton Mowbray area. Works include a 2.2km pipeline (90% open cut, nominal depth) foul water drainage and directional drilling.

Main Responsibilities:

• Attending site meetings with the construction and design teams


• Reporting progress on site to senior management


• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site


• Checking plans, drawings and setting out co ordination


• Allocation sheets, ITP's.


• Quality Assurance.


• Preparing reports as required for the site manager and project manager


• Having a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

 Candidate Specification

• HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering / Building


• CSCS


• SMSTS


• Good knowledge & experience of AutoCAD


• Setting-Out


• Previous use of Total station and GPS


• Able to work well both within a team & independently
