We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Designer to join a public sector project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in GDS (Government Digital Service) engagements within the UK Public sector, showcasing a deep understanding of GDS principles and the complete design lifecycle. The primary focus of this role is to enhance user experiences and journey efficiencies through a comprehensive understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated experience working with GDS principles and the complete design lifecycle.
- Proven ability to navigate and contribute effectively to UK Public sector engagements.
- Service Design Proficiency:
- Expertise in Service Design concepts, with a strong emphasis on improving user experiences and journey efficiencies.
- Proficient in prototyping and translating design concepts into tangible, actionable outputs.
- Effective communication and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- User-Centered Design (UCD)
- In-depth knowledge and application of UCD principles to design services that meet user needs and expectations.
- Ability to turn user research insights into actionable design recommendations with measurable results.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
- Proven ability to bring together diverse disciplines throughout the design process.
- Experience in collaborating with teams across technology and non-technology domains to achieve optimal design outcomes.
- Journey Design and Testing
- Experience in creating and testing both digital and non-digital journeys and processes.
- Ability to provide tangible examples of design decisions and recommendations based on testing outcomes.
