We are looking for a Senior Safety Consultant to work on a 12 month contract, possibly going longer, in Preston/Hybrid.

Our client is looking for someone with a strong background in nuclear and ideally holding SC Clearance (if this has lapsed they can renew).

Rate is 90-100 Ltd/Umbrella or PAYE equivalent per hour.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of Radiological Safety Assessment including being up to date with developments in methodology and approach.
• Technical delivery of projects to time, cost, quality, value and service requirements
• Provide Radiological Safety assessment support to multi-disciplinary teams.

The Ideal Candidate

• Degree qualified or equivalent level of demonstrable technical capability.
• SQEP 3 with 6-10 years' experience in Safety Assessment.
• Preferably Chartered Membership of a professional institution.
• Excellent level of knowledge in the specialised field of Safety Assessment, including knowledge of Sellafield Ltd Methodology.
• Detailed knowledge of advanced techniques.
• Proven ability to act independently, under own initiative, while supervising other members of the team.
