Job title: Senior Safety Case Consultant
Job type: Contract
IR35 status: Inside
Start date: ASAP, subject to clearance
Duration: 6 months
Pay rate: 45.29- 52.75 per hour PAYE/ 60- 70 Umbrella
Location: Bristol
Hours of work: 37hrs Mon-Fri

Applicants must have experience of the following:
* Bachelor Honours Degree (as a minimum) in Science or Engineering related discipline
* 10 years direct/relevant experience of directing and undertaking radiological safety assessments
* Experience of developing and preparing documentation for various safety/hazard-led projects
* The ability to coordinate production of safety submissions including all specialist safety input
* Knowledge and experience of safety management and provision of specialist advice
* Experience of managing teams to deliver large, technically complex, fit for purpose safety cases
* Experience in the mentoring, training and development of more junior staff

Candidates would ideally have:
* Chartered membership/status

Role information:
* Support engineering teams and work streams in their review of codes and standards that will align to regulatory compliance and a feasibility study around the supply chain.
* Support fuel management work streams that are working with safety input requirements
* Offering wider safety advice to other teams and/ or work streams within the project
* Supporting with further submissions relating to regulatory and/or funding requirements
* Managing delivery for the work undertaken within the agreed remit against cost and programme to the satisfaction of the key stakeholders
* Producing, verifying, and approving calculations, analysis, design basis documentation and technical reports
* Acting as a point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring adequate communication between the delivery team and other stakeholders
* Leading and participating in hazard studies
* Coordinating production of the safety submission including all specialist safety input
* Feeding back lessons learnt for use on future stages of the current project and other projects
