Hybrid Working 6-month contract opportunity for an experienced RF engineer to lead development of the new generation of our UWB locating system for an outside use application. The ideal candidate will have experience completing development cycle of a hardware product and will ideally have a record of successfully leading some of these efforts all the way to production and market launch.


This role is a great opportunity for someone capable of becoming a major technical stakeholder in the architecture, design and validation of an ambitious system as well as keeping an hands-on involvement in the RF design & validation tasks.  While lead responsibilities are available for the right person, ultimately the client is interested in speaking to anyone with Antenna design experience between 5GHz – 10GHz with an understanding of the design constraints.


Senior RF Engineer Role


This position is an outside IR35 opportunity offering two days working from home (this can be flexible for the right person) for an RF Engineer with the ability to technically lead the overall RF architecture decisions for a complete UWB locating system. This includes Hands-on implementation & validation of some RF functions of the product, including antennae. Good communication is required to lead and follow-up suppliers effort to deliver technical work package (design, test, integration)


Senior RF Engineer responsibilities


– Capacity to lead technical projects and deliveries.


– RF front-end design and validation 5 GHz to 10 GHz – ideally with some specific UWB or radar experience.


– Antenna selection/integration/design/validation for embedded products


Beneficial Skills


– Experience with certification process: CE + FCC


– Comfortable with eCAD tools for Schematics and Layout (Altium preferably)


– (nice to have): • Understanding of Embedded SW constraints


• C for microcontrollers – standard interface bus: SPI, I2C, UART, USB


• RTOS, bare-metal, Linux/gcc/Makefiles
