Enterprise Software Procurement Manager /Senior Procurement Manager - Global Broadcast media company
12 months contract + potential extension/perm
Inside IR35
This role is an exciting
opportunity to join us and work within our Group Procurement team. Our client's
Group Procurement Team was recognized for the fantastic results achieved
through the recent transformational journey they have been on by CIPS and were
shortlisted for the “CIPS Procurement Team of the Year” award.
You will:
As Procurement Manager, you will be contributing
the strategic sourcing direction for Enterprise Software related spend categories
within our client's Group Procurement function which operates across our client and now
also Comcast/NBCU. The role will involve interaction with other departments at
a global and local level including various Technology areas, Finance and Legal
• Working with the Global Software and Content
Licensing Procurement team to assess and deliver against Group Procurement
objectives across the ourclient/Comcast and NBCU.
• Ownership of the Procurement strategies for
the agreed Software categories.
• Maintain senior stakeholder relationships,
with appropriate regular communication, ensuring clear understanding and
alignment between their strategic technology plans and Procurement’s direction.
• Build and maintain all other stakeholder
relationships such that implementation of sourcing initiatives considers and
supports their day-to-day objectives
• Be able to work closely with procurement and
business colleagues across the wider Group, including teams in Italy, Germany
and America.
• Provide strategic commercial input to a broad
range of initiatives, including cost-saving programmes
• Through liaising with the appropriate business
areas, lead negotiations with key strategic suppliers at a global and local
level driving the most benefit to our client.
• Demonstrating a flexible approach to driving
financial and non-financial benefits to all business areas
• Understand the factors and challenges faced in
the IT industry and be able to use this knowledge to introduce innovation and
challenge current business processes.
• Be capable of evaluating all options against
all relevant factors i.e. technical, commercial, logistical, risk etc and
recommending the best option to the business
• Proactive investigation and value-driven
expansion of Procurement involvement in further Software categories.
• Help develop and deliver procurement
initiatives and best practice, including support for the wider Group
procurement vision.
You’ll have:
• Proven Procurement experience specifically
including the development of category plans and the data analysis to feed into
the plans.
• Understanding of relevant Tech Stacks and how
they align with business needs.
• Procurement processes, knowledge and
experience of running sourcing activities including RFPs
• Good understanding of our client's company, our platforms and
products, and the wider competitive context within which the client's business
operates
• Experience of working for a broadcaster/media
company.
• Experience of working in a global /
pan-European function, being able to manage varying demands and needs within a
single project

• Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook,
PowerPoint.

• Procurement tools and e-sourcing platforms,
such as Ariba Cloud
• Knowledge of technical trends in key
categories
