Your new role

We're seeking a Senior PHP Developer with full-stack experience to our dynamic engineering team. This is a hybrid role, combining remote and office-based work. Your contributions will be pivotal in enhancing our existing services and developing new, innovative applications.

As a vital part of our team, you'll engage in activities like:

  • Collaborating with fellow developers and product owners to improve our platforms, using tools like Discord, Slack, and GitHub.
  • Crafting new tools and improvements for our websites, connecting people with self-care resources and wellness professionals.
  • Guiding our transition from legacy systems to a more streamlined MVC/Laravel structure.
  • Expanding our open-source code library.
  • Participating in engineering sprints to explore and test new technologies.
  • Sharing your insights through tech talks and demos.
  • Ensuring our code and infrastructure remain fast and secure.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Role Requirements:

  • Proficiency in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
  • Over 5 years of PHP development experience.
  • Familiarity with PHP Frameworks like WordPress, Laravel, MVC, and PSR standards.
  • Knowledge of the full LAMP stack.
  • A commitment to attend our office in Camberley at least one day per week for collaboration and team-building.

Desirable Skills:

  • Web server configuration (Apache/NGINX)
  • Database and storage engines (MySQL/Elasticsearch/Redis)
  • Deployment automation (Docker, Ansible)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (CloudFlare, AWS, GCP), load balancing, server monitoring, code profiling, continuous integration, and page speed optimization.
