The Role:
You will be leading on commercial contracts across UK and Ireland, whilst also providing wider legal support to the Group both domestically and internationally. The role works with stakeholders across Business Development, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Tax & Treasury, and Communications.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and negotiating a range of agreements such as franchise agreements, brand partnerships, IT contracts, purchasing agreements for products and services, NDAs, consultancy agreements etc;
- Reviewing and advising on tender documentation;
- Supporting the UK Procurement team on contracts for services;
- Supporting on upcoming commercial disputes, and liaising with litigators; and,
- Advising on Compliance matters e.g. GDPR, anti-bribery, press releases, ad hoc data requests;
Profile Requirements:
- Commercial solicitor with at least 5 years post qualification experience;
- In-house experience would be ideal, or someone who s worked closely with an in-house legal team (i.e. law firm secondment);
- Someone who has led on the negotiation of a range of contracts;
- Someone who is a pro-active self-starter, who can navigate a busy in-house team and identify correct stakeholders;
- Good communication skills, and ability to build rapport.
