Senior / Lead Java Developer
Role: Senior Java Developer
Salary: 65,000 to 70,000 Per Annum - Plus annual bonus, personal well-being benefit payment, private healthcare and lots more!
Location: Remote/hybrid working with 1-2 days a week onsite in the West Midlands offices
Start: January 2024
Jumar have partnered with a market-leading FinTech company in the Midlands that deliver solutions into the Financial Services industry, and we are keen to speak to UK based Senior Java Developers to help support significant business growth.
Key skills we are looking for are Java, API development (using Spring Boot), Maven, Hibernate and Kubernetes.
The organisation has seen continued growth and success, and they are looking to expand their team. This is a collaborative and people-first business where you'll have a real opportunity to shape and develop the digital function and working with leading-edge technologies.
The successful candidates will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions in a collaborative Agile Scrum delivery team, using the newest versions of Docker, Springboot and Kubernetes technology.
Role:
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems
- Support system integration testing including input into test planning
- Assist with troubleshooting, environment management, product demonstrations and coaching and mentoring of other members of the team
- Develop code with automated unit and integration tests
- Collaborate with teams to refine business requirements and agree on technical requirement
- Lead experience
- Extensive experience of software development using Java 8+
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations

- Spring Boot experience
- Cloud knowledge - ideally AWS
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience within Financial Services would be beneficial but not essential
