Our client is a not for profit organisation within the health information field. They are currently embarking on a number of cloud based projects and require additional resource to help with this.
Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the full software life cycle, including support and continuous integration and delivery.
- Work directly with Product Owners to deliver new features and improve existing functionality.
- Modernise applications in an evolutionary way to take advantages of new technologies and the cloud to improve the usability, scalability, and resilience.
- Take ownership of and get to know existing code bases to aid both on-going support and redevelopment efforts.
- Work with other technical colleagues to identify where re-architecture efforts should be focused and deliver the most value.
- Learn new technologies and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Front and back-end development, including working at a SQL level with databases.
- Work with technical colleagues to improve test automation.
- Work with technical specialists outside of the organisation.
- Help to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Help the client on its journey to more agile ways of working.
- Act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders.
