Senior Human Resources Advisor (Policy, Pay and Reward)

Duration: 3 months initially (likely extensions)
Hours: Full time, 37 hours
Rate: 25.75 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor (Policy, Pay and Reward) to support the HR Manager, with development and promotion of a range of strategic HR initiatives in pursuit of the organisation s values and the workforce / OD Strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Champion the organisations Workforce/OD Strategies across the organisation, whilst also helping to shape and design the continuing evolution of these strategies
- Support the maintenance of an equality proofed pay structure, using NJC job evaluation and HAY grading schemes
- Promote to senior managers the importance of compliance and the risks of non-adherence
- Provide expert advice, guidance, challenge and support to managers on a range of Strategic HR issues
- Support the Head of HR Strategic Leadership and the HR Manager (Policy, Strategy and Reward) at consultation meetings
- Negotiate and consult with trade unions in terms of policy development and implementation
- Administer and monitor the organisation s job evaluation scheme, conducting job evaluations (NJC) in a consistent, fair and transparent way
- Provide technical expertise and understanding on relevant market pay rates which will include the population of data into the WM Employers pay data comparison system and benchmarking activities
- Conduct periodic pay structure reviews and equality impact assessments on the organisations pay structure and provide advice on the organisations input to regional and national pay negotiations
- Contribute to the ongoing pay and employee rewards strategy that promotes the recruitment and retention of high calibre employees
- Responsible for market research, collation, analysis and presentation of benchmark data and best practice innovations within the market
- Update One Source and other relevant databases and IT systems as required
Requirements:
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work as and when required
- Ability to work effectively whilst managing a variety of competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation
- Professional commitment to the provision and delivery of high quality HR procedures and advice and high standards of customer care
- Have excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
- Ability to work in partnership with colleagues/stakeholders to achieve aims and priorities
- Ability to establish working relationships with customers and stakeholders of HR Services
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to Influence/persuade
