You will be working for a well established media company in London.

This role will operate on a hybrid working model with the expectation to be in the London office 2 days per week with the remaining 3 days as WFH.




Your new role

You will be working as a Senior HR Advisor for an initial 9-12 month period however there is potential for this to extend.

As an experienced HR Advisor and ER Specialist, you will support and partner the business in providing a first class, business focused and compliant advisory service on all aspects of the employee lifecycle




Some duties will include:

Provide HR support, advice and guidance on Employee Relation (ER) matters, including complex cases, in line with policy, best practice, the business context and legislation
Coach managers to become more self-sufficient when dealing with ER issues such as; capability and performance management, absence management, disciplinary, grievances, flexible working, redundancy, induction, organization design and employee wellbeing
Advise and support senior management on operational HR practice and people solutions in line with operational needs and business priorities
Work with HR data analysis team, and interpret data and insights and regular reports to ensure managers understand trends and can produce data informed decisions.
Involvement in HR and Publishing projects, implementing and embedding new initiatives across the business
Fostering a culture of service excellence, role modelling company values and behaviours, and maximising the contribution that HR makes to the organisation through own efforts and through supporting developing line management to manage their people.
Ensure HR central ops team deliver to the standards we expect and understand and bring to fore any risks, issues, deal with complaints, and oversee employee lifecycle paperwork to ensure compliant with legal updates and the employee journey has a good customer experience. Be a key contact for the Central HR Team to ensure they have the support from HR Publishing team they need.
Liaising with the Talent Acquisition Partner on driving and embedding the recently launched online recruitment process across the business, support with Exit Interviews
To support line managers in embedding competency-based performance management and coaching where appropriate, in order to support the ongoing development of managers
Support the delivery of people management training sessions as and when required




What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a HR Advisor position where you have taken a lead on employee relation cases such as - performance management, absence management, disciplinary, grievances etc.




What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive an annual salary of between 40,000 - 43,000 depending on previous experience.
