The Senior Buyer FM & Assets will involve a level of sourcing and contractual activity for the categories identified. You will develop and implement category strategies that are aligned with business areas and work across categories to deliver overall benefits for the Group. Collaboration is key, projects are often complex and critical, involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers.

Key responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for facilities management (FM) and assets, ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.
Supplier Management: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Budget Management: Managing budgets related to FM and assets procurement, ensuring cost savings, and optimizing expenditure.
Contract Management: Overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation to execution, and ensuring that contracts meet organizational requirements.
Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the FM and assets sector.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as facilities management teams, finance departments, and senior leadership, to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks related to FM and assets procurement and implementing mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.

Demonstrate a track record of successfully managing a category or area of spend at a strategic level
Demonstrate advanced stakeholder management skills
Be qualified to degree level (or equivalent experience level) with MCIPS (or working towards MCIPS).
