p>Your new companyA large and leading manufacturing organisation based in Worcestershire. They are currently recruiting for a temporary Senior Buyer to support the business during a period of growth and exciting business transformation. They anticipate needing support for approximately 3 months. The organisation will also be recruiting on a permanent basis.Your new roleThe Senior Buyer will support the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager with the development and delivery of the procurement function. The role will coach the Buyer and lead activities on sourcing, category management, supplier management and contract management. The Senior Buyer, will also coach the Buyer, support procurement projects, and assist with external and internal audits. The post holder will be focused on cost management and continuous improvement, whilst ensuring suppliers operate ethically and that supply chain risk is minimised. What you'll need to succeedIt is essential that you are a Senior Buyer with a strong background within an engineering-based manufacturing, automotive or aerospace organisation. You will have expertise in sourcing, negotiation, MRP management, supplier management, contract management and category management.
