Senior Buyer
18 Month Contract

45 p/h (Umbrella rate)

ARM have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join one of our clients in Warrington for an 18-month contract.

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of subcontract services for the project.

Responsibilities:

* Preparation of Subcontract Procurement Strategies.
* Preparation of Invitation to Tenders.
* Evaluation and conditioning of supplier responses.
* Carrying out commercial checks for suppliers and past performance.
* Conducting negotiations to enable the shortlisting of suppliers.
* Conducting final negotiations with selected suppliers.
* Liaise with the project team to assist with the resolution of supply issues as and when required.
* Provide monthly reports on procurement and subcontractor performance.
* Monitor the supply market to identify potential new suppliers and products.
* Understand the supplier market, keeping abreast of market developments, demand trends and risks.

Requirements:

* Proven capability of working within procurement carrying out Sub-Contract Procurement activities,
* Procurement experience preferably within a construction related environment.
* Experience working within a highly regulated industry and on projects greater than 100m.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Strong commercial awareness.
