We are currently recruiting for Seasonal General Attendants at 3 different locations for Newry, Mourne & Down District Council.

Locations: Delamont Country Park, Downpatrick; Slieve Gullion, Newry; Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor

Hourly Rate: 11.18 - 22.36 per hour

Hours per week: 30+ Must be available to start immediately and work April to September including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

The successful candidates will be required to complete and pay for a Basic Access NI check

Main Purpose of Role: To supervise the public ensuring the safe and orderly usage of facilities

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• GCSE passes (Grades A - C) in both English Language and Maths or equivalent.
• At least 6 months relevant experience in a customer facing role working with the public. (In lieu of GCSE passes we will accept at least 1 year's relevant experience in a customer facing role working with the public)
• Previous experience of cash handling and keeping associated records in a work environment.
• Previous experience working in an outdoor manual handling role.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel & Word
• Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative.
• Awareness of Health and Safety issues involved in working with the public and Manual Handling.
  
  

It would also be advantageous to have access to transport to meet the requirements of the post and a current recognised First Aid certificate.
