About the role 



We have a fantastic opportunity for a Scrum Master to join us on a 2-year fixed term contract. In this role, you ll work on our transformational BRIDGE programme, helping to create our policy sales and service solution. BRIDGE is the largest programme NFU Mutual has undertaken, and its successful implementation will allow us to offer fantastic service improvements and new online capabilities for our customers. 



 

As a Scrum Master within Group IT, you ll lead and plan the full sprint process described within the Agile methodology and motivate Scrum teams to deliver great solutions and create an environment of continuous improvement. This is an exciting time to join us as we move along our journey to implement and embed a scaled Agile and DevOps operating culture. 



 

In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you ll use your expertise to ensure the high-profile deliverables are in line with NFU Mutual best practise and quality standards and meet the needs and expectations of both our organisation and our customers. There may also be a requirement to support in the facilitation of one room planning in front of large groups of stakeholders and team members. You ll support, motivate, and energise the Scrum team to provide a collaborative working environment for efficient, innovative IT delivery. You ll also play a key part in developing further efficiencies and innovation within the team to help shape the future delivery of IT.

About you 



As a Scrum Master, you have a passion for energising and inspiring people to work collaboratively to deliver solutions, demonstrating excellent teamwork. You re pro-active and have a mindset to promote continuous improvement from both you and your team. You re a strong facilitator and can work in ambiguous situations, demonstrating the ability to work with agility. You thrive off providing excellent customer service, and you enjoy using your stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to both lead and work as part of a team. 



 

To join the team, you must also have: 

 





  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills (essential) 




  • Understanding of Agile development principles (desirable) 




  • Knowledge of software development processes (desirable) 







Knowledge of project management methodologies is desirable, and experience in an insurance, investments or pensions environment would also be advantageous.
