This will be used to load your vacancy on the Enhanced Resourcing System (Sub contract recruitment)
Aerospace Ground Equipment Engineer, managing ML1 and ML2 minor Age equipment on behalf of the Royal Air Force and BAE Systems.
The post holder will be an experienced and skilled technician undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities on Aerospace Ground Equipment.
This is a role to determine the viability of the post, if successful this will lead to future opportunities.
This will entail the development of a structured system that will allow FWD amd DEPTH to understand the present status of their AGE holdings.
To perform the required maintenance on AGE assets
Ability to utilise and understand current data sets.
To determine the current serviceability of the assets.
To develop the computing system to record all maintenace activities and future periodic requirements.
Potential for lone working due the expected nature and location of the assets.
Customer interface and stakeholder management on behalf of the AGE team.
Potential for travel both UK and overseas
full UK driving licence

WORKING HOURS ON BASE
- 5 days p/wk (Mon-Fri) around relevant site core hours (7.30am 4.30pm Mon Thurs, 7.30am 12pm Fri).
- Hours required to work per week are 37.00 unless otherwise stated (this does not include lunch breaks).
- Start and finish times to be agreed with local Line Management, in accordance with local site core hours.
- Lunch break allowance is 30 minutes between 12.30 1:00pm (or as agreed with Line Manager). 30 mins will automatically be deducted each working day by the electronic time management system.
- Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.
- Candidates should be aware that this position may involve shift work
Nightshift pattern Days: 07:30 till 16:00hrs and Nights: 16:00 to 02:00hrs
Key Responsibility Areas
List the key areas of activities which the role performs.
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
Reporting to the AGE Operations Team Lead at RAF Coningsby.
Identifying Minor AGE holdings at ML1 and ML2 and the Setting up a programme of maintenance.
Carrying out MINOR AGE maintenance utilising the maintenance packs associated with each as defined in the FMP
Setting up a management and recording system for coverage of present and future maintenance.
The post holder will be required to build a day to day working relationship with the customer for the purposes of monitoring maintenance achievement and maintenance scheduling activities and acting as an interface for the support of AGE between the customer and BAE Systems and undertake AGE management activities on bases (RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth)
Directing and prioritising the detailed planning activities on a day by day basis that will need to be undertaken by the AGE Tasking Coordinators to maximise asset availability in line with customer platform utilisation.
Working with the AGE team to develop support plans to maintain availability of items with no current support packages.
Ensure that all AGE activities are performed I.A.W. the relevant processes and procedures

Mechanical/engineering background.
Able to communicate at all levels
High level of Computer skills

Understanding of Joint Asset Management Engineering Solution (JAMES) as a recording tool.
Understanding Of Trilogi View
Knowledge of MAOS Pt 145 and KR640.
Potential travel to RAF Stations, BAE Systems locations and DE&S locations.
