Role: AWS Cloud Architect
Location: Croydon
Duration: 12 months
Rate: 700 - 750 Inside IR35
Clearance: SC

Role Description:

1. Produce Architecture and design artefacts according to PI priorities.


2. Help Tech leads in breaking down the design into tasks.


3. Support Product Manager in defining details of tickets.


4. Support application teams/requestors/BAs to elicit and specify functional and non-function requirements.


5. Take design to governance process of approval which might require taking to TWG, PPPT TDA and Security working group.


6. Support Application teams in explaining LECP architecture and taking/refining their designs.


7. Refine user stories as appropriate.


8. Support in refining acceptance criteria and definition of done with Product Owner or sponsor.


9. Support in PI Plannings.


10. Produce reusable Design patterns to bring efficiency and cost reduction.


11. Peer review designs and provide feedback.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Provide steerage and recommendations aligned with architectural HO/PPPT/Policing standards, strategies, road map.


2. Ownership of the designs across the platform creating and maintaining when needed, ensuring a cost-effective solution.


3. Support prioritisation based on the investigation of the root causes of problems, identification of business needs to shape the architectural direction of the platform


4. Supporting the DevOps engineers during engineering and testing phases.


5. Architects are not responsible for end-to-end governance for a feature delivery


6. Architects supports product manager, delivery managers, BAs and other teams by providing technical knowledge and insight.
