We are looking for a Safety Engineer for a 12 contract based in Bristol (hybrid) on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
Job description - The Role
The Safety engineer for Safety & Reliability to support a Large Technology development programme which will lead onto a programme that develops a customer product, therefore responsible for creating and/or supervising safety and reliability assessments within an aerospace product development environment.
As a Safety Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Understand the product's degradation and failure mechanisms, their associated consequences and the hazards to which they contribute - Develop and deploy models to characterize them using deterministic or probabilistic/data mining techniques.
- Create a common understanding of safety requirements with designer, customer and supplier, translate them into design requirements and control the implementation during the development process.
- Control implementation of safety requirements at supplier level.
What we require from the candidate:
- Electrical System experience.
- Industry experience in creating and handling of any hazard assessment, fault tree analysis, FMECAs and Common Cause Assessment.
- Good working knowledge in statistics, probability and reliability prediction.
- Ideally experience in working with ARP4761 and ARP4754A or comparable industrial norm (e.g., Def Stan 00 065).
- Hazard Log Management.
- Technical experience in the deployment of Safety and/or Reliability engineering tools and methods, ideally Reliasoft.
- Have experience in requirement engineering and requirement engineering tools.
