Safety Engineer - Aerospace

Inside or Outside IR35

Bristol, Hybrid offering, again open to discussion based on logistics.

Yolk Engineering are currently partnered with an award winning engineering consultancy, who are supplying to both marine and aircraft platforms.

The reason for the hire will be due to a demand in growth and upcoming projects.

You will be joining the Systems & Safety team, supporting key defence/military projects in the Aerospace engineering domain.

Responsibilities:

  • System level analyses, integrating multiple sub-system inputs
  • Platform loss modelling, integrating multiple system level analyses
  • Zonal safety assessments (ZSA)
  • Common mode / cause analyses (CMA/CCA)
  • Detailed analyses of complex systems using fault tree methodology

Skills:

  • Aircraft certification (CS-23, -25)
  • Landing gear (ATA-32), flight controls (ATA-27), fuel (ATA-28), power (ATA-24)
  • Hazard Logs & analysis including: HAZID, HAZOP, FHA
  • Analysis techniques such as: FTA, ETA, FMEA, FMES
  • Production of safety documentation such as PSSA, SSA, PRA etc.
  • ARP4754
  • ARP4761
  • DO178B/DO254
  • International standards e.g. IEC 61508, IEC 62368
  • Working within a quality system environment, such as AS9100, ISO9001
