Job Description

Rullion require two experienced Mechanical Fitters to work with a world leading Light Rail / Rolling Stock company as a Tram Maintainer, based out of their Tram Depot in Nottingham.

This position would suit candidates with either Rolling Stock, Light Rail, Large Transportation or Military Vehicle experience.

Rates of pay:

1 x Mechanical Fitter - Days

Monday to Thursday - Days only

* PAYE: 19.73 per hour + accrued holidays
Or
* UMBRELLA: 24.66 per hour (first 12 weeks) / 25.89 per hour (after 12 weeks)

1x Mechancal Fitter - Rotating Days and Nights

4 days on / 4 Days off / 4 Nights on / 4 Nights off.

* PAYE: 21.71 per hour + accrued holidays
Or
* UMBRELLA: 27.19 per hour (first 12 weeks) / 28.54 per hour (after 12 weeks)

This role falls inside of IR35 and therefore payment options are either PAYE or Umbrella:

Role:
Main duties and responsibilities will include:

* To work as a member of a team to service, maintain, repair and overhaul tram stock & equipment
* Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Production Manager and comply with all depot protection procedures
* Understand and abide to safety notices, rules and regulations and follow safe working practices, H & S.A.W. and C.O.S.H.H.
* Adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current standard
* Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification
* Routine exam work
* Routine primary fault finding (to level of competency)
* Component exchange
* Stores provision

Candidate requirements:
* NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
* Practical knowledge and experience of mechanical and/or electric engineering.
* Experience of working to procedures, work instructions and vehicle maintenance instructions.

This role is subject to Drugs & Alcohol testing, due to working in a safety critical environment.
