Technical/Application Architect

Up to £565 per day based on relevant experience

My client is loooking for a Technical/Application Architect to join their team.

PURPOSE:
As a part of the Open Banking Project you will work with our clients development & architecture teams in creating software solutions across Retail Software Engineering. You will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders to determine their requirements and will work with Lead Developers and Solution Architects to create a set of comprehensive detailed technical documentation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Collaborating with senior stakeholders and ensuring tractability across the solution architecture
* Collaborating with various stakeholders to determine software requirements
* Owning product specifications and design documents
* Providing the development team with architectural blueprints to follow
* Setting engineering standard and best practice
* Guiding and assisting the development team throughout the process
* Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design
* Ensuring that you and the team adhere to development schedules and deadlines
* Presenting regular progress reports and setting goals
* Updating software solutions as required

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
* Excellent communicator who is able to translate complex requirements into functional architecture
Minimum 1.5-2 years of experience in PDS2 (Open Banking) is essential
* Strong hands-on experience on software development
* Able to work in complex programs
* Expert Knowledge of JavaScript, Java, Spring, Relational/Non-Relational Database technologies, APIs
* Strong Experience with various operating systems
* Strong Experience with cloud technologies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* BSc/BA/MSc/MA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
* Extensive experience in software development and project management
* Solid understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms
* Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
* Highly analytical mind-set, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details
* Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills
