• Collaborating closely with Business and Technology colleagues to thoroughly evaluate design options and provide robust recommendations.
• Ensuring ongoing governance of project delivery by assessing the impact of change requests on high-level designs.
• Conducting design forums and workshops with developer, operational, and business colleagues, often involving third-party vendors.
• Distributing designs for approval and presenting them at formal clinics.
• Performing peer reviews of designs created by colleagues.
• Participating in technical communities of interest to support and enhance the banks software development policies and standards.
• Providing Solution Design estimates to contribute to Business Cases.
• Involvement in internal improvement initiatives to enhance the overall capability of the Solutions Design competency.
• Collaborating with Lead Solution Architects and other Architects within the Solutions Architecture competency to support the bank's business projects.

Key Skills

• Experience with various technologies, such as Messaging & Middleware, Microservices, Cloud, and Data Streaming.
• Expertise in solution architecture.
• Experience working in both waterfall and agile environments throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understanding and experience in design governance.
• Ability to collaborate with both Business and Technology stakeholders, building personal credibility in shaping solutions to business problems.
• Capability to manage and resolve design risks and issues.
• Ability to influence and challenge at a senior level to achieve the best outcomes.

• Experience in support planning, helping drive scope, delivery shape, schedule, and design.
• Effective collaboration with other Change and Technology professionals.
• Experience in various business areas, including Financial Fraud and AML, Debit & Credit Cards, ATM & POS, Payments (FPS, SWIFT, CHAPS, BACS), Core banking processing, and Treasury Systems.
