Security Engineer 2 -month contract Outside IR35 - Remote

My customer is looking for a Security Engineer to work with existing Team to ensure that a robust and effect security environment is in place in time for a handover. The ideal Engineer will need to have a broad understanding of security elements including EndPoint, Vulnerability Management, Patching, Access Management and VPN/Application Security.

The client is diverging from another business and have 2 months to setup a security environment (setting up technical config).

The ideal Security Engineer is someone who has Implemented security systems from scratch and also migrated from one security system to another.

Key technologies the Security Engineer will have experience:

• Previous experience as a Security Engineer/Security Consultant/Security Engineer
• Experience implementing Microsoft Defender (Full set-up and configuration)
• Replace Crowdstrike end points with MS Defender (including building the base standard ) across all the on prem estate (~400+ servers)
• Roll out a proof-of-concept test with SecPod (Their potential new Vulnerability Management and Patching tool). If successful roll out across the on prem estate
• Roll out ManageEngine for other tools (Monitoring, logshipping, replacement of Splunk monitoring etc)
• Replacement of Okta with MS Authenticator
• Installation of a WAF, and configuration of VPNs into the estate
• Including potential weekend work

This Security Engineer role would be fully remote.
