SC Cleared Lead Java Developer

Summary: The role of SC Cleared Lead Java Developer involves leading a team in developing Java applications for a UK Government client, requiring current SC Clearance and British nationality. The position is primarily remote with occasional travel to London and is expected to last for at least six months. The developer will work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts and user experience designers, to deliver effective solutions. The role demands strong technical skills in Java and team leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of Java applications using Java 7+, JSP, Jboss, and Apache Tomcat.
• Implement Java Microservices with Springboot.
• Manage version control using Git and Sonarqube.
• Consume and implement REST APIs (openAPI).
• Utilize Mokito for mocking and JIRA for project management.
• Conduct unit testing with Junit and work with relational databases.
• Collaborate with customer, business analysts, and user experience designers in squads to develop designs and work methods.
• Provide team leadership and guidance.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Java 7+, JSP, Jboss, Apache Tomcat.
• Experience with Java Microservices and Springboot.
• Knowledge of Git and Sonarqube.
• Ability to consume and implement REST APIs (openAPI).
• Familiarity with Mokito, JIRA, and Junit.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Team leadership experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Desirable skills include PL/SQL, Swagger/OAS, Microsoft Windows Server, Struts, Angular, Active Directory, LDAP, Selenium, Elastic Search, Neo4J, and Agile methods (particularly Scrum).
