My client is a large Utility company based in Scotland, and they are currently looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their team and provide technical support in ensuring the ongoing maintenance, and developed service improvements to, their core applications and the infrastructure which support them.

For this role you'll need:

. Sufficient functional and technical knowledge to be able to support Windows and SQL based systems and Legacy applications
. Experience of working with a ticketing system, ideally ServiceNow
. Knowledge of Azure infrastructure will be beneficial
. Ability to take ownership of problems and requests as well as the ability to work in a pressurised environment

In return, my client is offering 500 day rate inside IR35 (though an umbrella) and an initial 6 month contract with scope to extend. The role is a remote position with rare travel to an office in Reading or in Scotland.
