Finance System Accountant.
Working within Social Housing as a Finance System Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the financial systems and processes within a client using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) F and O. You will ensure financial data accuracy, integrity, efficiency and reporting within the D365 Finance platform. The client is currently undergoing a transition to D365, and the purpose of this role is to backfill current day-to-day activities to inform the way Microsoft D365 will be used in the future and to inform system design.
Duties:
- Data Integrity and Accuracy: Monitor and reconcile financial data within D365 to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate financial reports, statements, and analyses using D365 tools. Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial System Management: assisting with the work surrounding the D365 finance module is meeting the organisation's accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance financial processes and workflows within D365 to optimise efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Maintain strong internal controls over financial processes within D365, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to align financial systems and processes with business objectives. Act as a liaison between finance and IT departments for system-related projects and initiatives.
- System Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay updated with the latest D365 features, functionalities, and best practices. Evaluate and implement system upgrades and enhancements to leverage new capabilities and improve financial operations.

Location: London 2-3 days a week the rest remote.
Rate: Market rate day neg on experience. Out of Scope
Duration: 6 - 12 months.

Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or professional certifications such as ACCA, or CIMA.
Experience:
- Prior experience working as a system accountant or financial analyst, within the Housing Association / Social Housing sector.
- Experience of either capital accounting or repairs.
- Hands-on experience using Finance systems such as Infor SunSystem, Compleat, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain financial concepts and system-related information to non-technical stakeholders. Attention to Detail: Collaboration: Integrity.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot system issues and propose effective solutions.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in using D365 F&O or other similar packages such as Infor SunSystem or Compleat.
