Position: 1498 Digital Development Assistant
Location: Remote
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, 08.30-16.30, Monday-Friday
Salary: 21,397 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract starting ASAP until 30 June 2024

The Role
Reporting to the Digital Development Manager, you will support the Digital Development and wider Digital team, specifically the Digital Content Coordinator, during a period of website redevelopment to build, test and implement new web pages and produce a regular flow of high quality content for distribution across owned digital channels.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Digital Development team during planning, building, testing and implementation of the new website to create content, build web pages and participate in user testing.
- Working with the Digital Coordinators, assisting with the generation of content for digital marketing channels.
- Updating the website with new content using Drupal content management system.
- Collaborating with the Digital Content Coordinator and internal colleagues to develop new content reflecting the products and services being delivered.
- Assisting the Digital Content Coordinators to ensure that all content is up to date, accurate and relevant to target audiences.
- Retaining high rankings for the website by implementing best-practice search engine optimisation techniques, updating content, page structure and metadata where appropriate.
- Contributing to fundraising, commercial and public relations projects supporting the wider Marketing Communications strategy, projecting and maximising income generation opportunities.
About You
You will have demonstrable experience of writing for the web and good copywriting skills along with:
- Working experience of using content management systems, preferably Drupal.
- An understanding of technical and content driven search engine optimisation, and of accessibility and creating accessible content.
- Adept at using photo and video editing software, ideally the Adobe suite.
- An understanding of a user centred approach and how that is applied to content generation.
- Able to multi-task and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail whilst working with a number of conflicting demands and deadlines.
- Proficient IT. skills (Word, Outlook and Excel).
