We are currently working in partnership with a City Council based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Contracts & Procurement Lawyer on a locum basis for 3-6 months.

The position is due to start immediately, and offers remote working. The hourly rate of pay is in the region of 45 via an Umbrella company.

The ideal candidate will have experience of public sector contracts law and procurement frameworks.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Handling a varied caseload of Commercial and Procurement matters, including analysis contracts and arrangements
• Drafting contracts and clauses, and negotiating with third parties as required
• Negotiating and drafting contracts and other agreements for shared or integrated services
• Advising on a range of contractual matters and queries, including terms, liability, insurance, indemnity and damages
• Supporting ongoing business projects, including assisting with the associate contractual review and re-negotiation
