Job Description
Our client, a leading global Ecommerce business, is looking to hire an experienced Cloud Security Engineer for a 12 month fixed term contract.
Part of the dynamic Security Architecture team in the UK, you will focus on the secure design and implementation of our AWS cloud infrastructure.
Reporting to the Head of Security Architecture, you'll collaborate with senior security architects, solution architects, and engineering teams to deliver expert security guidance, ensuring the reliability of our systems for our players, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks in partnership with the broader Security Engineering team.
Your Experience:
- Safeguarding customer data in regulated production environments, ensuring compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting security analysis of cloud architectures using a threat-based approach, implementing defence-in-depth, and prioritising security controls.
- Hands-on experience deploying complex solutions and designing countermeasures for identified security risks.
- Defining security controls for both data plane and control plane in cloud environments, preventing toxic combinations.
- Practical working knowledge of workplace technology security solutions such as network, email, and endpoint security controls.
Your Skills:
- Proficiency in security assessments using playbooks and security patterns, identifying weaknesses, and applying appropriate risk treatments.
- Ability to identify toxic combinations of design weaknesses in both data and control planes, providing effective remedies.
- Applying cybersecurity and privacy principles to organisational requirements, including confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.
- Ensuring requested changes are implemented without compromising the security posture.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding and experience working with AWS.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Strong grasp of network access controls and identity and access management.
- In-depth knowledge of each security domain and its role in supporting a secure platform.
- Eagerness to learn innovative technologies and a genuine passion for information security.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams with varying priorities.
- Proven ability to drive initiatives and operate autonomously, exercising sound judgement with limited supervision.
The Offer:
- Base Salary : 85,000 - 95,000 (negotiable)
