AWS Cloud Engineer

12 Month Contract

Fully Remote

$55-$75/ Hr

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for a mission drive Food+Tech company that is breaking boundaries in the health industry. You will work alongside the IT, Engineering, and data science teams to ensure that this company stays on top of the latest cloud capabilities and prototype technologies and promote cost-saving and performance-enhancing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with the dev teams to create, implement, and document Cloud-based infrastructure systems and services to deliver technology solution projects.
  • Evaluate current states and prototype future state solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and improve performance.
  • Monitor resource usage, performance tuning, issue resolution, and future capacity planning.
  • Deploy services according to IT best practices and requirements for security, governance, identity access, management, and monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience developing cloud-native, highly resilient solutions on Amazon Web Services.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development and deployment on the cloud, Python a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate business recommendations for infrastructure change management, including cost, benefits, risks, and optimization.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus
  • A solution Architect Certificate would be a huge plus.
  • Have worked with containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless applications (Lambda, S3).
  • Strong team focus and good demeanor toward solving problems that impact business success.
