Agile Delivery Manager - Inside IR35

Contract Term: 6 months       

Contracting Authority: BEIS – UK Research and Innovation

Location: Remote – Swindon 1-2 days per month

The Agile Delivery Manager will oversee allocated Projects across the allocated Product Teams which could include The Funding Platform Product Team, The Data Platform Product Team or the HCM/Finance Platform Product Team.

 

As an Agile Delivery Manager your main responsibilities would be to: 

  • Project Manage allocated Projects (medium, small) across the HCM/Finance Product Team, The Funding Platform Product Team and Data Platform Product Team.
  • Manage the execution of Change Demand Forum Triage for allocated Requests for Change including resource estimation, budget estimation and high-level planning.
  • Create, develop and maintain project plan and appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling.
  • Monitor and report on project spend and associated budget planning.
  • Resourcing – manage recruitment and line management of dedicated project resources.
  • Co-ordinate work across relevant Project and Product Teams to ensure the end-to-end delivery of projects.
  • Work closely with Project and Product Teams to ensure that the implementation is effective, efficient and fit for purpose.
  • Co-ordinate test effort to ensure Services and Products are fit for purpose prior to deployment
  • Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including coordinating, leading and representing the project team at internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain project controls, produce project reports, including risks and issues.
  • Deliver projects into live service ensuring that appropriate technical, service and user processes, documentation and training is delivered by the relevant owners.


Essential Skills:

  • The Agile Delivery Manager will come from a PRINCE2 background but have experience of SCRUM, therefore understands the interaction between waterfall and agile within a WAGILE environment (waterfall Portfolio process with SCRUM delivery phase).??
  • The Agile Delivery Manager will have knowledge of SAFe practices and understands IT Service Management, including experience of transition from projects to operations.
  • The Agile Delivery Manager will have some experience of at least some of the products BS&I provide (Salesforce, Workday, cloud-based JAVA development, AWS) and experience of working with wider-group DDaT (IT).
  • Ability to plan and execute complex projects involving: Multiple Product Teams, Multiple Suppliers (DDaT, UKSBS, external) and Multiple Stakeholders (IUK EMT, BCC, BS&I, UKRI).
  • Public Sector / Government experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
