Role: Quality Manager

Site Location: Coventry

Rate: 462 per day (Via Umbrella)

Duration: 4 month contract initially

This position is part of the site leadership team and will be accountable for establishing, maintaining, and optimising an effective Quality Management System (QMS), implementing the Braking Systems Division Quality plan at the site to achieve the Division's overall quality objectives. This role is responsible for enhancing and the Division's products and services through implementation of AS9100/AS9110, problem solving tools, prevention methods, and continuous improvement techniques.

Position Summary:

  • Communicates Customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance, and Customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees effective documentation and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) to assure compliance with Customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by Corporate and Division policies.
  • Works with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions effecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
  • Coordinates necessary plant personnel for internal, Customer, and third-party quality system audits.
  • Maintains a corrective action system to analyse and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
  • Implements the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, Customer satisfaction, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ); Uses results of performance evaluation to target improvement efforts.
  • Assess Supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired levels of performance; utilize performance measures to target improvement efforts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the Quality processes for the plant and drive continuous improvement of systems to achieve cost-effective stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop the local quality team to increase individual and organizational technical competence.
  • Lead and coordinate audits program and practices of Management systems to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements set by Group/Division policies.
  • Communicates industry and customer requirements to assure service quality, contract compliance to stakeholder's requirements.
  • Works with leadership to ensure the individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
