Nuclear Project Quality Engineer
We are looking for Project Quality Engineers to join our clients expanding team to deliver all aspects of quality - design, development and delivery of existing and new projects.
The role of a Project Quality Engineer is very dynamic, you will play a pivotal role in the business and are expected to take ownership of quality requirements at every stage of the project life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the works (including materials and workmanship) are carried out in accordance with contract documents and programmes and resolve any supply chain or on-site issues that may arise
- Ensure that a consistently high standard of quality assurance is maintained on the contract
- Aid with the assessment of supply chain partners
- Undertake audits as required by the project assurance schedule
- Investigate non-conformances, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence
- Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators such as Right First Time in Full, Concessions, Non-conformances, etc.
- Undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post
As a Project Quality Engineer, you will have experience in:
- Quality Management

- Lean Manufacturing
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Experience of applying Quality Assurance processes in a major project environment
- Experience of applying risk-based quality oversight processes
- Ability to generate Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, and then monitor their implementation
- Experience of defining Lifetime Records requirements
- Experience of reviewing Lifetime Records for concurrency and accuracy
- Experience of investigating non-conformances
- Ability to interpret specifications and drawings, and ensure their requirements are met
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques
- Have a wide understanding of the construction and manufacturing industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods and legal requirements
- Experience in developing and maintaining robust administrative systems
- Ability to keep up to date with changes in construction methods, statutory legislation and carry out continued professional development (CPD)
- Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site, or area
- Good planning and time management skills; able to manage activities simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality
- Experience of undertaking and participating in internal, supply chain and 3rd party audits
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor essential (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor desirable)
